What happens if I miss my time slot?

If you are late for your time slot, the staff will try to accommodate you on the next one. However, it will be subject to availability. Please note that tickets are non-refundable if you miss your session.

Can I visit the Xtracold Icebar Amsterdam with the iAmsterdam City Card?

Yes, you can. However, you can only book tickets with the iAmsterdam City Card at the door. To make sure there are tickets available, it is best to check the website just before or call the Icebar on +31 20 320 5700.

Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code. But, be warned, it is -10℃ in the ice bar, so we do not recommend wearing shorts, skirts, dresses, or open shoes. You will be provided with an extra coat and gloves before entering the Icebar which you can wear over your regular clothes.

Will the warm coat fit me?

All the coats are size XXXL, so they should fit almost everyone.

Is food available inside?

There is no food available inside the ice bar. However, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, including de Plantage, De Nachtwacht, and Frenzi.

Can I get extra drinks inside the bar?

Yes, you can purchase extra drinks at the front bar. However, you cannot buy more drinks inside the actual Icebar as it is not recommended that you stay in for more than 20 minutes.

Last entry: 45 minutes before the closing time
Closed on: The Icebar is closed for a few days around January/February for renovation.

Best time to visit: Plan your visit early, right after the Icebar opens its doors, or late evening when the crowd starts to thin out. It will allow you to have a quieter, more immersive experience.

By car: Take Prins Hendrikkade to reach Xtracold Icebar from Centraal Station. It is around a 2 km drive and takes 5-7 minutes, depending on the traffic conditions.
Closest parking: Parking Waterlooplein (500 m)

Clothing: The Xtracold Icebar provides a warm coat and gloves that you can wear over your regular clothes to stay warm.
Photographs: You can get your photos taken professionally for €7.50.
Toilets: There are washrooms on the premises.
Wi-Fi: Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the bar.

Wheelchair accessibility: The attraction is wheelchair accessible since it is located on the ground floor of the building. There is a 5 cm step to enter inside the actual Icebar, so regular wheelchairs that can be lifted can still enter inside. Electric wheelchairs are not suitable for this.
Service animals: Guide or assistance dogs are permitted inside the Icebar premises.
Accessible restrooms: Wheelchair users can easily access the toilets on the premises.

Anyone under the age of 18 cannot enter the Xtracold Icebar. Please bring your ID with you or you will be denied entry.
You can stay inside the Icebar for a maximum of 20 minutes. However, you can stay in the lounge area for however long you like.
Smoking is prohibited indoors, but you can exit the Icebar to smoke and re-enter with the same ticket.
Only bring a normal-sized backpack or purse that you can keep with you since no lockers are available on-site.
You can buy extra drinks at the lobby, but not at the actual Icebar.
Dogs are not allowed inside the premises.
Open shoes and bare legs are not recommended due to the cold.
