History of WONDR Experience Amsterdam

WONDR was created as a space where interactive play, colour, and themed environments come together to inspire self-expression. The concept was built around the idea of transforming ordinary rooms into immersive zones designed for movement, photography, and emotional uplift. In September 2019, WONDR opened its first venue in Amsterdam-Noord, quickly becoming one of the city’s most popular indoor attractions. Following its success, WONDR expanded its offerings with additional themed venues in Amsterdam, such as House of Mirrors and the Splash Room at the A'DAM VR Game Park.

Who built WONDR Experience

WONDR Experience was designed and developed by the WONDR Creative Studio, an in-house team of designers, builders, and visual artists. Their combined work shaped each room’s distinctive character, from lighting concepts to tactile elements and bold colour choices.

Construction and design of the WONDR Experience

Every room at WONDR was purpose-built to evoke a particular mood, using wall textures, props, lighting setups, and modular decor crafted specifically for interactive photography. Because many rooms rely on engineered structures, cushioned floors, or custom-built installations, construction was executed with both safety and guest movement in mind. The flexible layout allows WONDR to refresh rooms seasonally or introduce temporary features without altering the flow of the experience.
