The Van Gogh Museum discovered a new work, Study for ‘Worn Out’ that has been added to Vincent van Gogh's oeuvre. It has been on display in the museum since 17 September 2021. A figure drawings from Van Gogh’s period in The Hague, one can find details of how it came into being in letters to his brother Theo and to his friend Anthon van Rappard. The drawing shows an exhausted man who is seen sitting on a chair with his head between his hands. The model that appears in the picture is a bad, elderly man who has appeared in many of Van Gogh's works. This drawing is being displayed on the first floor of the Van Gogh Museum’s permanent collection until 2 January 2022.
